A fantastic accolade for a stunning property

Gold Proves Broad House Hotel is a Treasure within the Heart of the Norfolk Broads

The exclusive Broad House Hotel in Wroxham has the style, elegance and the all important customer service, fitting of the 18th century Queen Anne country estate house. This was the finding of VisitBritain, who rewarded Broad House Hotel with their unique Gold Award which is given to hotels and guest accommodation that provide exceptional quality in all areas, but in particular in service and hospitality.

The overnight assessment criteria has recently changed to ensure consistent levels of high quality are achieved for the award to be given, with Broad House Hotel achieving high scores in all areas to ensure their Gold Award. Previously only an average high score was required for the award. Key areas in the assessment included housekeeping, hospitality, service, bedrooms, bathrooms and the food.

The great news arrived shortly after Broad House Hotel learned of their three star rating, confirming a great start for the hotel that opened in September this year.

Jeremy Brinkworth, general manager for quality at national tourism agency VisitBritain said: "This is a fantastic accolade for a stunning property. Gold awards are given on top of the star-rating and let guests know that they can count of superlative levels of service and hospitality. Congratulations must go to the owners and staff of the Broad House Hotel for all their hard work and commitment to ensuring their guests enjoy a wonderful welcome and stay."

Co-owner of Broad House Hotel, Philip Search said: “We did not know they were staying so it’s a true reflection of our Natural hospitality and a great reward for all the hard work and effort everyone has put in to converting this great estate house into the hotel and getting the hotel open.”

Broad House Hotel is an 18th century Queen Anne country estate house set in 24 acres of beautiful countryside. The hotel is one of Norfolk’s top places to stay and with masterchef Steve Thorpe onboard as Head Chef, it's a great place to dine.

Broad House has nine huge double bedrooms with en suites, two bedrooms have four poster beds, with pain staking attention to detail taken in every area. Every bedroom has its own identity, designed to complement each of the individual views available from the different areas of the house. Room prices will start from £130 per night, including breakfast.
