Traditional English Afternoon Tea

What could be more delightfully old-fashioned than a traditional afternoon tea in a quintessential English country house?

Broad House Hotel is the place to come to stop the clock for a couple of hours in a beautiful setting and tuck into cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches, scones with lashings of jam and local cream, and scrumptious homemade cakes like granny used to bake.

Guests can take their tea in our spacious drawing room ­ cool in the summer, cosy and warm in the winter ­ or on sunny afternoons we will serve a tray out on the terrace or lawns where you can while away a few hours sitting under a shade, listening to the birdsong or hum of the bees in the borders and soaking up the relaxing atmosphere.

Afternoon tea is served from 11am onwards and costs £10.50 (inclusive of VAT) per person. Our menu features:

• Sandwiches cut into fingers ­ Smoked salmon (Wholemeal bread) ­ Ham (Wholemeal bread) ­ Cucumber (White bread)
• Scones with fresh cream and Norfolk preserve.
• Selection of cakes and biscuits.
• Selection of teas or coffee will be offered.
